Highland Killer Strikes Again!

21 Jan

Police have revealed the discovery of a third body in the highlands. Last Wednesday two local children were climbing the cliffs when they discovered the crumpled remains of what was left a young woman wedged behind a large boulder. Police say she had lain for weeks, hidden from the shoreline below and the cliff top above and might never have been discovered. The overhanging rocks protected the young woman from much damage due to elements or animals and police say she was of typical highlander appearance and, as one young Sergent was heard to admit, “rather pretty”.
The woman was unmarried and had fine hands that had not seen heavy work but her clothing was simple and practical. Like the other victims she carried no papers and had no pocket handkerchief. Police suspect these were removed in all cases to avoid identification of the victim. But this time the killer missed one small item, a needlecase which had been embroidered with “Scissors may cut but a needle will always mend.” On one face and “Dear E.G, Love Mother.” On the other. It is speculated that the young lady was a seamstress or lady’s maid and police have asked for anyone knowing a person with the initials of “E.G” to come forward.

Ah, they do share the same initials, don’t they? I guess we’ll have to wait and see if the body is successfully identified. Also your new chapters showed up in my reader for once! So I’m off to read them! 😀

Oh, poor Elen! Bobbie will be heartbroken. If she ever finds out, since she doesn’t seem to get any letters or news.

Yes, poor Elen. Bobbie would/will be heartbroken if she were to find out! No, she doesn’t seem to get ANY, does she?
